FREE: 15 Weeks of In-Person Training
In this 15-week course, you'll attend our Birmingham city centre training room twice a week. You'll learn directly from professionals and get extensive hands-on experience with all the equipment and software.
You will progressively build skills with weekly lessons and consistent practice. Most importantly, you'll get regular, personal feedback on your projects and have the ability to ask questions and get immediate answers in class. This will help you understand and master each concept. You will also get access to recordings to catch up just in case you miss a session.
This consistent, guided approach does more than just teach you software - it keeps you motivated and accountable. You'll develop your own personal video work through ongoing projects while building lasting connections with a community of fellow creators.

Yes, it's completely free. There are no hidden costs or catches. Netcom Training provides the training is funded by the WMCA to help build skilled video professionals in the Birmingham area.
Question 2: What's the real value of this course?
The commercial value of this type of training and in-person teachers would be well over £2,000. You're getting professional training, studio equipment access and software training that would normally cost thousands.
Question 3: How many hours of learning is this course per week?
The course is 10 hours per week. This i split into one evening session and one full day session which normally takes place on the weekend.
Question 4: I work full-time, will I be able to manage this course?
Absolutely. With just two sessions per week in Birmingham city centre and catch-up recordings available, many working professionals successfully complete the course.
Question 5: What if I miss some sessions?
Theory sessions are recorded and available for catch-up. You'll also have support from instructors and fellow students to get back on track.
Question 6: I'm a complete beginner - is this for me?
Yes! We start from the basics and build up. Many of our most successful students started with zero video experience.
Question 7: Do I need a laptop or camera to start the course?
Not at all. We provide all equipment in the class for your use. This includes cameras, laptops with Premiere Pro, lighting, and audio. However, having your own equipment and doing extra work at home will definitely help you make further progress!
Question 8: What software will I learn?
You will use and learn Adobe Premiere Pro, the industry-standard editing software used by professionals and studios all over the world.
Question 9: What can I actually do after this course?
This course gives you the foundational skills and hands-on experience to confidently start your work in the video industry.
